1. Who we are

East Anglian Efficient Solutions Ltd ("EAES", "we", "us") is the data controller for any personal information we collect through this site. We are a Limited company registered in England, based in Colchester, Essex.

2. What we collect

When you contact us or book a job — your name, phone number, email address, the address where work is needed, and the details of the job. Whatever you tell us in your message.

When you pay a deposit or invoice — payment is handled by our payment processors (Klarna where you choose to spread the cost; standard card processors for online deposits). We do not see or store your card numbers.

When you visit the site — basic usage stats: pages visited, rough location (country or region), device type, and where you came from. We use Umami, a cookieless analytics tool that anonymises your IP address and does not identify you personally. No cookies, no advertising trackers.

3. Why we hold it

• Contact and job details — to reply to your enquiry, give you a quote, do the work, and get paid. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
• Payment records — to take payment, refund where needed, and meet HMRC's record-keeping requirements. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
• Analytics — to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Legal basis: legitimate interest. No personal data is processed.

4. Who we share it with

• ServiceM8 — our booking and job management software. Your contact and job details live there so we can quote, schedule, and complete the work.
• Payment processors — for deposits and instalments (Klarna where you've chosen finance).
• Umami — anonymised analytics only. They host the stats; they do not receive your name or contact details.
• HMRC and our accountants — where the law requires us to keep financial records.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or send you marketing without your permission.

5. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that don't turn into a job — up to 12 months in case you come back, then deleted.
• Completed jobs — 6 years, as required by HMRC for financial records.
• Analytics — aggregated, no personal data; retained by Umami per their own policy.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

• Tell you what data we hold on you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your data (unless the law requires we keep it — for example, financial records)
• Move your data to another provider
• Stop processing it

If you're not happy with how we've handled your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk .

7. Cookies and tracking

This site does not set any cookies of its own. Our analytics tool (Umami) is cookieless and does not track you across sites. If you book a job, the booking software (ServiceM8) may set its own cookies during the booking flow — those are covered by their privacy notice.

8. Changes to this policy

We update this page when our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top is always current.
